Arthur Bare and Edna Josephine (Middleton) were married in the courthouse at Olney, Illinois, on Dec 29, 1915 and stayed married sixty two years until his (Arthur) death in 1977.
Arthur and Edna lived with Arthur's father(James Sanford Bare), until James died in 1922. Arthur then moved onto a one acre plot of land in Bellmont, Illinois where their nine children were born. Arthur and Edna lived in that location for until were in 1976, Arthur and Edna moved into the newly constructed building for Senior Citizens in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Arthur is remembered for having been a very fine carpenter was a hard working man who loved children. He loved the area he called home, Bellmont area.

Wilford was an active member of Saints Peter and Luke Episcopal Church. At church, he was "a bearer" for over thirty years. He retired from his fulltime job as a barber in 1995 due to declining health. Wilford learned "building trades" skills from his father,Arthur. Wilford developed into a highly skilled builder. Among the buildings and projects he created, was his own home. He was employed as a barber. "Ted" enjoyed "the art of lively conversation" as he worked.

One of "Ted's" hobbies was the collection of the antique time pieces that filled his home. At the "top of the hour", chimes and a multitude of noises went off to mark the hour. Being a patient and detail oriented person, Wilford acquired clock making skills and patiently put them into practice in making and rebuilding clocks. Additionally, he is remembered for teaching clock making to male relatives. He lived on "Coon's Lake", enjoying the peace and the timely ringing of the bells, chimes, and the sounds of his beloved clocks.

Affectionately referred to as "Ted", he was known for his "speaking the truth in love". He was not afraid to express his beliefs, being honest and outspoken in communications. Wilford is remembered for being a man of speaking his mind. He was also a kind, friendly, and generous man.

He has three children.

Name:
Duward was the son of Arthur Lorenzo and Edna Josephine Bare. He was one of the nine children born to them.

Arthur, Edna and their children lived on a one acre plot of land in Bellmont, Illinois where Arthur and Edna raised their children.

Duward served his country honorably in the military. He was a B-17 bombardier and a navigator with the 8th Air Force and was shot down over Germany while flying in the "Gung Ho". He was a POW in Stalag Luft until liberated.

After the war, Duward married his English girlfriend, Vera Price, and lived in England for a year where the first of his two children was born. He then moved to Riverdale, Illinois, a south suburb of Chicago where their second child was born.

Duward was an electrical engineer by training and worked at Andrews and Blue M Electric. At one point he also co-owned Bare's Radio and Television store at 142nd and Indiana Ave. in Riverdale. He repaired radios and televisions in the back and sold records in the front of the store.

He was very interested in the workings of the mind and the world around him. He loved to think and talk about reincarnation, love, time, and anything that piqued his interest.

He and Vera moved to Lynwood later and then, after Vera passed, he lived in Lansing, Illinois. The final years of his life were spent near his daughter in DeKalb, Illinois. Duward died at the age of 91. He and his wife are buried in a cemetery in Homewood, Illinois.

DeKALB ? Duward J. Bare, 91, of DeKalb, Ill., formerly of Lansing and Riverdale, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his beloved children, Beverley (Carl) Buehrer and Kevin (Nancy) Bare; cherished granddaughter, Rachel Bare; dear sisters and brother, Evah Veihman, Arlene Peach and Doyle Bare; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Duward was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Bare; and siblings Wilford Bare, Dale Bare, Joan Miles, Shirley Fitzgerald and Edith Corrie.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Duward's life with a visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, and a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Castle Hill Funeral Home, 248 155th Place, Calumet City.

Dale and Iona had two children.

He was a very good golfer and was golf pro in Mt.Carmel,Illinois for several years. His team won the State Championship in golf in 1960. He enjoyed bowling and was considered the best athlete of the men on his team.

In 1964 he and his family moved to Florida where he continued being a golf pro.

18 Sep 1981 he Divorced Iona Bare. He remarried 08 Nov 1981 and the second wife is still living in Florida.

He died in Orlando, Florida on 16 Apr 1997 and his body was laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

Joan and her husband were both professional school teachers. Joan taught for 23 years in District 348. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Joan was a deeply faithful Christian and was a member to First Baptist Church of Albion.

She held a deep commitment to her work as a volunteer for The Red Cross. She is remembered as a loving,devoted wife, mother, and aunt.

Joan is buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

Shirley Kay was the last born of the nine children of Arthur and Edna Bare.
She married John Fitzgerald and had three children.She was an administrative assistant and she founded a group called "Unique People" or "UP" as those called it at St. Victor Church where she worked. Divorced & widowed parents & their children would get together for picnics & vacations and they were their own little family. She fought hard to make everyone feel unashamed of being from a divorced home. She was so talented at crafts, sewing, crochet, and had stuffed "Bare's" throughout her house. She enjoyed looking into the Bare family history & got so excited when she discovered something new. Her grandchildren called her "mam" because she said they would sound polite in public...yes mam, no mam.. She is buried in Chapel Lawn in Schererville Indiana and her headstone states "beloved mother & mam".

In 1953 Jerry came to Florida from Chicago, Illinois.

When his parents divorced in 1959 he lived with his mother in Largo and visited his Father in Orlando.

Jerry Lee married Cynthia Louise and together they had two sons. When passed away he had two sons and two grandchildren.

Jerry worked more than 20 years as a material handler for Honeywell. He was a Air Force veteran, serving a military policeman at Warner-Robbins Air Force Base.
He was a troop leader for the boy scouts of America and enjoyed astrology and farming.


He has one older brother and one younger sister,Sherry Cook which is now deceased .

Jerry died in Hernando Pasco Hospice House in New Port Richey he was 60 years old.
