A former Fairhope resident, Orie E. Biles, 70, of Baltimore, Md., died at his home Saturday at 4 p.m. He suffered a heart attack.
Mr. Biles was born on March 3, 1896.
He is survived by his widow, Mary; four children, Orie Alvin, Melvin, Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Barnot and Mrs. James (Donna) Anderson all of Baltinore; several grandchildren; a brother, Theodore (Ted) of Monongabela; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Edith) Ercegovich of Arnold City, Mrs. Albert (Luetta) Emerick of Brownstown, Mrs. Harry (Dora) Secrist of Monongabela.
Friends are being received at the Schmunik Funeral Home, 33311 Verehm's Lane, Baltimore, where a service will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in Baltimore.

Mrs. Edith V. Anderson Ercegovich 77, of 300 Mikula Road (Arnold City), Belle Vernon, died at 11:10 a.m. thursday, Aug. 9, 1979, in Uniontown Hospital.
A Native of Washington Township, Fayette County, she was a daughter of Theodore and Ella Rowe Biles, born March 4, 1902.
Mrs. Ercegovich was a Protestant by faith. Her husband, Joseph Ercegovich, died in 1970. A son, William Anderson, died in 1947.
Surviving are four sons, Howard Anderson of Streetsboro, Ohio, Charles Anderson of Arnold City and Jess Anderson of the home, Robert Duvuvei of Felkburg, a daughter, Mrs. John (Elsie) Adamec of Belle Vernon; a brother, Theodore Biles of Monogahela; two sisters Louetta Emerick of Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Dora Secrest of Monogahela; 15 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Friends my call at Howard W. McCory Funeral Home on Main St., Fayette City where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Glen Burrows of Marion United Presbyterian Church of Fairhope officiating. burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Ella T. "Dora" Secrist, 89 of Monongahela, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. She was born July 27, 1912, in Fairhope, a daughter of the late Theodore and Ella Rowe Biles. Mrs. Secrist was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Monongahela. She retired after 25 years of employment in the dietary department at Monongahela Memorial Hospital, New Eagle. Her memberships include the Monongahela AARP and the Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include four sons, Harry S. Secrist Jr. of Monongahela, edmond L. Secrist of Albuquerque, NM, Douglas M. Secrist of Greenville, SC and Gerald W. Secrist of West Newton; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Secrist was preceded in death by her husband Harry S. Secrist, who died in 1969; one son Thomas C. Secrist who died in 1968; tow brothers Orie and Theodore Biles; who sisters Edith Anderson and Luetta Emerick; one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LM FRYE FUNERAL HOMES INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.

THEODORE E. BILES
Theodore E. Biles, 80 of New Eagle, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, in his home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1913 in Fairhope, a son of the late Theodore and Ella Rowe Biles.
Mr. Biles was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater, and was a member of VFW Suttman Yoho Post 1409, Monongahela.
He retired in 1979 from the USX Corp.'s Irwin works. He was a member of Arrosa Haymakers Association 2581/2 of New Eagle.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary Revetta Biles; three granddaughters, Mrs. Randy (Mary) Wilson, Mrs. Lee (Valerie) Marias and Mrs. William (Bernadette) Evans, and one sister Dora Secrist of Monongahela.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son John C. Biles, who died June 1, 1980; one brother Orie Biles, and two sisters, Edith Anderson and Luetta Emerick.
Friends will be received in the LM Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday fro 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Emerick was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, DuWayne, Theodore, Albert and Sheridan Emerick . He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Eleanor Milan Emerick; one son, Gregory Lee Emerick and wife Beth Ann of Johnstown; one daughter Yvonne, of Perryopolis; two grandchildren; april Ann and Brian Joseph Emerick, both at home, three brothers Robert, of Smithton, John Emerick and wife Darlene of Belle Verson, and gerald Emerick and wife Joyce of Akron, Ohio; and one sister, alberta Palmer of Monessen. The family will receive friends in the CONFER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front St., Brownsville, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. when funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Emerick was retired from Monco Products as a bagger. He was Protestant by faith and a was a member of the Rostraver Lions Club.
