1. | Robert HUNGERFORD was born before 1429; died on 18 May 1464 in Beheaded at Newcastle, Northumberland. Other Events and Attributes:

Presumably in consequence of his marriage, he was summoned to Parliament v.p. from 13 Jan. 1444/5 by writs directed 'Roberto Hungerford militi domino de Moleyns', whereby he is held to have become Lor Molcyns. He served in France and was taken prisoner, remaining in Duchy of Aquitaine for several years, not being released till a large ransom had been paid. After the Lancastrian defeat at Hexham on 15 May 1464, Robert Hungerford, Lord Hungerford and Lord Moleyns, was taken prisoner and beheaded at Newcastle, Northumberland on 18 May 1464. He was buried in Salisbury Cathedral.
Robert married Alianor MOLEYNS before 5 Nov 1440. Alianor (daughter of Sir William MOLEYNS and Anne WHALESBOROUGH) was born in 1425; died in 1476. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Would have been heir, but for the forfeiture of his father's honours in 1461, 4th Lord Hungerford and 2nd Lord Moleyns.
Having taken part with the Lancastrins, Sir Thomas Hungerford was attainted and put to death near Salisbury as a traitor in 1469.
Thomas married Anne PERCY before 16 Oct 1460. Anne (daughter of Henry PERCY and Alianor DE POYNINGS) died on 5 Jul 1522. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

George Hastings, K.B., of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, co. Leicester, 3rd Lord Hastings of Hastings, and Lord Hastings of Hungerford, P.C. to King Henry VIII is son and heir. he was summoned to Parliament from 17 Oct 1509. He was created Earl of Huntingdon on 8 Dec 1529, and about 1533 succeeded his mother as Lord Botreaux, Lord Hungerford and Lord Moleyns. In 1536 he was in command against the rebels in the rising called 'the Pilgrimage of Grace'.
