Jacob S. Sliker, eighty years old, died last Thursday at his home in West End avenue, Newton. He is survived by four sons, Wesley, of Chester; James, of Lafayette; Fred and Richard, of Newark, and six brothers and two sisters. Rev. J.F. Maschman conducted funeral services at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Burial was in North Church Cemetery.

John Sliker, eighty-six, died Sunday evening, July 16, at the home of his son, Henry Sliker, of Ryerson avenue, Newton, as told in The Independent last week. He was the fourth oldest child of the late Isaac W. and Emmaline Spinner Sliker and was born at Swartswood. There were fifteen younger in the family. Mr. Sliker married Miss Anna Kays, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Kays, of Swartswood. Mrs. Sliker died about eighteen years ago near Layton. Survivors are his children, David, of Stroudsburg, Pa.; Harry, whereabouts unknown; Richard and Henry, of Newto; Charles, of Columbia; Mrs. Grace Kays, O Andover; Mrs. Viola Mott, of aston, Pa., and Mrs. Olive Lemin, of Paterson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Abraham L. Sliker, of Sussex; Peter C., of Beaver Lake; Andrew Jackson, of Middleville, and Horatio Seymour, of Kamp Klameshia, and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Nippert, of Newark.

MORTUARY RECORD

William Isaac Sliker passed away at Greystone Park April 9, aged seventy-four years. he was a well known farmer of Huntsburg and Greendell before retiring and removing to Newton. He then spent two years with a brother, A. Sliker, at Oldwick and Whitehouse, returning to Newton where he became ill. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Huldah Berry Sliker; seven children, Merritt, of Sussex; Rudolph, of Newton; Benjamin, of Greendell; Robert, of Pellettown; Mrs. Sadie Counterman, of Newton; William, of Newton, and Dora, of Swartswood; sone sister, Mrs. hannah Nippert, of Beaver Lake, and five brothers, Peter C., of Beaver Lake; John, Of Newton; Abram I., of Lake Owassa; Horatio Seymour of Kamp Klamesha, and Andrew J., of Mecca Lake. There are also twenty-one grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

MRS. HANNAH NIPERT

Newton --Mrs. Hannah S Nipert, seventy-eight, widow of Louis Nipert, died Sunday, December 5, at Newark City Hospital. She was born in the county, a daughter of Isaac and Emaline Finner Sliker. A Son, Edwin C., and a daughter, Mrs. Larry Dorsch, both of Newark, survive. She also is survived by three brothers, Abraham Sliker, of Sussex; Andrew Silker, of Stillwater, and Peter Sliker, of Beaver Lake.

Funeral services were held yesterday t 2pm at the Luse & Smith Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, Rev. Edgar R. Schlueter, of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Newton Cemetery.

ABRAM L. SLIKER

Wantage -- Abram L. Sliker, of Beaver Run road, died Thursday at his home after a long illness. He was 90.

A native of Swartswood, Mr. Sliker had lived most of his life in Wantage Township. He retired from farming 10 years ago.

Surviving are a son, Frank, of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Sylcox, with whom he made his home, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted today (Sunday) at 1 pm at the Ferguson-House Funeral Home, 27 Third street, Sussex, by the Rev. Percy "Bailey, pastor of the Wesleyan methodist Church of Sussex. interment will be in Branchville Cemetery.

Branchville - Funeral services for Andrew J. Sliker were held yesterday (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Wood Funeral home, with the Rev. Neil VanLoon, of the Swartswood-Stillwater Methodist Churches, officiating. Burial was in the Baleville Cemetery.

Mr. Sliker died Sunday at The Homestead. he was born 81 years ago in Swartswood and had spent his life in the Stillwater-Swartswood area. he was a retired farm laborer.

he is survived by his wife, Mrs.Elizabeth Hendershot Sliker, three sons, Lanson and Harold, of Newtion, and Clarence of Milford, Pa; also by six daughters, Miss Daisy Sliker, of Clinton; Mrs. Grace Dangler, of Branchville; Mrs. Margaret Ladiee, of Andover; Miss Eulia Sliker, of Oxford; Mrs. Dorothy Crawn, of Stillwater; and Mrs. Emma Smith of Sussex. He also leaves 23 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one brother, Abraham Sliker, of Sussex.
