Elizabeth Cecil, second daughter of Richard Cecil, Esq. of Burghley, co. Northampton, by Jane, daughter and heiress of William Heckington, of Bourne, co Lincoln. She was sister of William Cecil, Lord Burghley, the Elizabethan statesman. They had four sons and two daughters.
