  1. 1.  Lyman KIDDER was born on 29 May 1774 in Sutton, Massachusetts; died on 28 Mar 1841 in West Randolph, Orange Co., Vermont.

    Name:
    Lyman Kidder commanded a Company of Braintree, Vermont Volunteers in the War of 1812, and took part in the Battle of Plattsburg. He was active in the affairs of the town, was sent nine times to the legislature, and twice as a delegate to the State Constitutional Convention. He and his wife Ruth, were among the charter members of the "Christian Church, " organized in 1817, of which he served as deacon for twenty years.

    Lyman married Ruth NICHOLS in 1799 in Braintree, Orange Co., Vermont. Ruth was born on 16 Nov 1776 in Braintree, Vermont; died on 16 Sep 1842 in Braintree, Vermont. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
