After seven weeks of pain and suffering, Mrs. Maggie Priest, wife of Walter F Priest, submitted to the caress of the Death angel, and fell asleep in Christ, at her home in Brooklyn, Wednesday, April 1, 1903, in the 35th year of her age. She had been in bad health for several years but only confined to her bed seven weeks. Her illness, she bore with Christian fortitude, and always with the hope of getting well again, until Saturday, when the painful news was tenderly broken to her. Even then after all hope was taken from her, her Christian hope never altered and through the intense suffering of her last hours, she gave to those around her bed-side the assurance of every fulfillment of that hope. Her death was a triumphant entering into rest.
On December 25, 1895, she was united in marriage to Walter E Priest. She had been a faithful member of the Christian Church in Brooklyn for several years and had lived a devoted Christian life, and was always ready to assist in every benevolent work, that had for its object the advancement of the master's Kingdon. The church will miss her sadly. She leaves a devoted husband, sisters and brothers; besides a host of friends to mourn their loss. May the comfort of God be their strength.
The funeral services on Friday were very touching. A large crowd of relatives and friends gathered at the home at 2 o'clock to show their sympathy and impressive ceremonies in song, prayer and word of consolation. The services were conducted by her pastor, F.A. Hodge, of the Christian Church, assisted by Campbell Jobes of Claysville, Pennsylvania. A selected choirs sang her favorite hymn. The remains were borne across the river to their final resting place in the cemetery at ?

Mary married Walter Earl PRIEST about 1908.
