      Russell G. Holden
      December 19, 2010

      Russell G. Holden, of Charlton, passed away December 19, 2010, at Woodlawn Commons in Saratoga Springs, NY.
      Mr. Holden was retired from the New York State Parks as regional park superintendent for Central NY. He had worked for the park system for 31 years before retiring. He had spent several winters in Florida with his wife, Bessie.
      Mr. Holden was predeceased by his wife, Bessie, in 2008; his brother, Earl Holden; and his sister, Belle Halinan. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Paul) Rennie of Charlton and Cheryl (John) Caterham of Wynantskill, and his sister, Marion Teske of East Syracuse.
      He also has a granddaughter, Karen (Shawn) Rowledge, and a great-granddaughter, Ava Rowledge, both of Welcome, Maryland, and several nieces and nephews.
      The funeral service will be private.
      Arrangements are by the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, Ballston Lake, NY.
