  	Mrs. Earl C. Beardslee Hattie M. Slauson, wife of Earl C. Beardslee, died at her home in Halcottville on Tuesday of last week as the result of blood poisoning. Mrs. Beardslee was born at Vega January 10, 1879. At an early age she moved with her parents to Halcottville. She was united in marriage to Earl C. Beardslee of Halcottville and they had made their home in that place since. Mr. Beardslee was stricken with the 'flu' about nine years ago and since that time has been practically helpless and Mrs. Beardslee has been most devoted in the intervening years in caring for her invalid husband. She is survived by no near relatives except her husband. The funeral was held from the Old School Baptist church in Halcottville on Thursday afternoon, her pastor, Rev. George Ruston, officiating. Interment was made in the Kelly Corners cemetery. [1]
