    • Died before Nov. 8, 1751, and probably shortly before that date. Will dated Jan. 31, 1749/50; value of estate, L6317, 2. 6d., old tenor.

      He was a large farmer and lived in the north part of the village; a man of influence and represented the own of Farmington many times between May 1717 and May 1741, When the Church at Great Swamp was founded, it consisted of 10 members, of which he was No. 4 one of its "seven pillars" and its first Deacon, being chosen March 10, 1712/13. Thomas Hart, son of Thomas hart was its second Deacon. A curios relationship existed between him and his children, for he married as his second wife, June 26, 1707, Mary, dau. of Sergt. Samuel Seymour; while his son Phinehas, married her sister; his daughter Susannah, married her brother, so he became a brother-in-law to two of his children. In his will, Deacon Anthony Judd names his wife Mary, his two daughters, viz: Lydia, wife of John Cole and Susannah relict of Samuel Seymour dec'd, and his three sons, Amos, Phinehas, and John. [1]
