  	His obituary in the December 27, 1887 Chronicle of Mt. Vernon says William R. Fuller of Union Avenue was bitten on the hand about a month ago by a Spitz dog kept in his own family. Although the wound had been attended to he was taken ill a few days before and died. The funeral took place at the M. E. Church. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. [1]
