Obituary:
Eunice, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Slosson died last Friday evening from illness of only a few hours duration. After having eaten some tomatoes and a few plums the child complained of a cramping sensation in the stomach and soon became so seriously ill that a physician was hastily summoned. the physician pronounced the symptoms that of poisoning from an over-dose of opium. Antidotes were administered, but the child soon sunk into a comatose condition and died at about 11 o-clock that evening. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church by Rev. J.C. Lewis at 9 a.m. Sunday morning, and the remains were interred in the Fairview Cemetery.
