- Elias was a descendant of Richard Lyman who came to America and first settled at Charlestown, Mass., later joining the company of one hundred who went through the wilderness to Connecticut, being one of the first settlers of Hartford. His will was the first of record there Apr. 22, 1640, and his name appears on the Founders Monument, in Center Churchyard.
Elias and ruth removed to Lebanon, New Hampshire, where they resided until death. [1]
