    • Donna, 89, of Houghton Lake, MI. passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

      Funeral Services were held at the St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Thursday, March 24, 2016. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI.

      Donna was the daughter of Clare and Helen (Bauer) Holton. She was a graduate of Coleman High School and a lifelong resident of St. Louis, MI. Donna married Charles Starry Jr. on September 29, 1947 in St. Louis, MI. Charles passed away on January 25, 2010.

      Donna loved to cook and bake, especially pies. She also enjoyed fishing at the cabin in Houghton Lake and loved to travel with her husband. Donna also enjoyed doing crafts, playing cards with family and gardening. In her spare time she was an avid reader. Holidays were a special time for her and she enjoyed the family getting together.
      Donna was a member of the St. Louis First United Methodist Church.

      She is survived by her son Jerry and Robbie Starry of Aurora, Colorado, daughter Kathy and Jack Neal of Mt. Pleasant, MI, son Todd and Angela Starry of St. Louis, MI, 9 grandchildren; Rachel, Michael, Katie Beth, Matthew, Andrew, Johnathon, Zachariah, Elizabeth and Grace.

      Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Willard Holton and sisters; Florence Preston, Kate Demers, Beverly Starry and Dorothy Eff.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

      The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, Michigan.
