- NACOGDOCHES, TX - Funeral services for Daymon Roy Rambin, 69, of Nacogdoches, TX will be held Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with Dr. Allen Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mr. Rambin died December 27, 2006 in Slidell, LA while in route back to Nacogdoches. Born January 6, 1937 in Ringgold, LA, he was the son of Amos Albert and Lucille Flores Rambin. He served three years in the U.S. Army at Redstone Missile Base in Neckarsulm, Germany and graduated from the Seventh Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy in Bad Tolz, Germany. He was employed for thirty-six years by International Paper Company, serving the final years of his career as Coordinator of Environmental Education and Legislative Affairs. He was a longtime member of Texas Forestry Association and served on the board of directors of the Texas Forestry Museum. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches. [1]
