  	He settled in the Bethel Society in Danbury about 1725. He was in Danbury June 1722-1736-1741. In 1707 he chose his brother, William, as his guardian. Tombstone Inscription: "Here Lies Buried the Body of Capt. Ebenezer Hickok who departed this Life July 8th AD 1774 in the 83d Year of his Age(.) He was for many Years a Deacon in the Church of Bethel a principal Pillar in that Church and Society and an Ornament to the Christians Religion." "The memory of the Righteous is Blessed." [1, 2]
