  	James Henry Williams of Sterling, 88, died July 7, 1992, at a Sterling Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 10a.m. Friday July 10, at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling with the Rev. Roger McGlaughlin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Tennant Funeral home. Contributions may be made to any charity of your choice. Mr Williams was born to John and Lena Williams on Sept. 17, 1903, in Leedey, Okla. He worked as a trucker in Oklahoma before he entered the oil fields. He married Mabel Beatrice Prather on July 17, 1940, in Perry, Oklahoma. and came to Sterling in 1951. After he retired from the oil fields he worked for farmers the Sterling area. He was a member of the Protestant faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel, two brothers and one grandaughter. Survivors include four daughters, Bernadine Parr of Sterling, Carolyn Heckman of Ault, Marilyn Litzenberger of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Juanita Goodson of Palmetto,Fla.:one son Alton Williams of Palmetto, Fla.,two brothers:Ely Williams of Gentry, Ark. and Evert Williams of Kimball, Nebr.,and one sister Katie Irwin of House, New Mexico, and five grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
