    • Gladys Ethell Kennedy (Malone) passed away on June 14, 2008, in Ruston, Louisiana at the age of 91. She was born on March 31, 1917 in Union Parish to Shepard Kennedy and Jessie Albritton Kennedy. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a religious service at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Charles P. Wood. Burial will be at Liberty Hill-Taylor Cemetery.


      She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Charles Wood of Mobile, Alabama; son and daughter- in- law Doyle and Maureen Malone of Baton Rouge; brothers Jeff, Bernard Euell, and Dennis Kennedy; sisters Grace Kennedy Pardue and Helen Kennedy Hogan; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.


      She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Retha (Lone) Lonnell Kennedy, Weldon V. (Toad) Kennedy, Joe V. Kennedy and James Gale Kennedy, one sister, Mae Kennedy Johnson (Tab) Boyd.


      Honorary Pallbearers are Claude B. Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy, Barry Todd Malone, Brett R. Malone, Roger Wood and Terry Wood.
