- Anthony was the first physician in Chelmsford, Mass; surgeon during the siege of Louisburgh, being commissioned by Sir William Pepperrell, February 10, 1745. He enlisted in the expedition against Crown Point, April 18, 1755, under Sir William Johnson as surgeon in Col. Joseph Blanchard's Regiment and was commissioned Lieutenant in Capt. John Moore's company; was one of the grantees of Andover, NH and built the first saw mill in that town.
