Mr. Gates served in the U.S. Navy and worked in the Oil & Gas industries as a gas well operator. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Gena Christine Gates. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Lynn Gates, children, Charles R. Gates, Jamie Gates and wife Lisa; April Atkins and husband Brody; siblings, Freddie and Joan Gates, Mary Jo and Sam Herren, Tig and Carol Gates, Linda and Gene Barron, Aubrey and Janice Gates, grandchildren: Rylee Chapie, and Laynee Gates.
