• Name	Abraham COLT  [1, 2]
  	Abraham was most likely the "child" who had been "delivered 14 daies since" when Winthrop treated Hester Colt at Podunk 29 July 1666. He was living in 1734, apparently inGlastonbury when his 20 year old grandson Abraham Colt chose him as his guardian. Perhaps Abraham had been named after his mother's half-brother Abraham Finch who died shortly after November 1666. Abraham Colt heard Owen Tudor's oral will at Windsor in October 1690, but in 1692 he was distributed land "below the Thomas Loveland lot" in the south part of Glastonbury, just then formed from that part of Wethersfield on the east side of the Connecticut River. An affidavit by Thomas Hooker states that Abraham Colt "was discharged from training on 21 May 1705 because of injuries to his foot which crippled him for life". Statements that he died before 1730 refer, instead, to his son Abraham Jr. who m. in 1713 Susannah Risley, daughter of Richard and Rebecca (Adams) Risley of Hockanum. In 1731, Jonathan Hill, guardian to Abraham's grandson Isaac Colt, testified that Abraham Colt Sr. "of the town of Tlastonbury" had sold half of "his lands, viz., half his orchard and half his dwelling house in Glastonbury" to his son Abraham colt Jr. who d. there 31 Aug 1717.
