John CLARKE [1] |
- Married Mary Benjamin, Aug. 16, 1695. He lived afterwards at Barnstable, then at Yarmouth, where he taught a school, being a well-educated man.
"Mr. John Clarke was a schoolmaster in Yarmouth in 1701, and besides his salary he was furnished with a horse, the school being movable from one village to another." --Freeman's Hist. of Cape Cod, Vol. 11., p. 206.
