  	Dr. Erwin V. Moore, 73, of Phoenix, Arizona, died in Phoenix. He has lived there since 1956 when he retired. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Dr. Veranus A. and Mary Slawson Moore. Dr. Erwin Moore earned his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1917. He was a lieutenant in the Veterinary Corps, US Army, during World War I. He was the veterinarian for Cortland County for 21 years where he was also in private practice with Dr. John L. McAuliff. In 1942, he was elected president of NYS Veterinary Medical Society. He also was assistant commissioner of agriculture for New York from 1943 to 1954. He was survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Smith of Albany; a brother, Dr. Norman S. Moore, Ithaca; nieces and nephews.
