    • David Bosworth was town clerk of Plympton from June 1702 to 1 March 1707/8. He was chosen as a selectman from 2 March 1712/3 to 26 March 1734.

      In March 1718/9 he was elected Deacon in the Plympton Church.

      At the first town meeting in Halifax on 18 July 1734 David Bosworth was chosen selectman and sealer of weights. On 31 March 1735 he was chosen town clerk and selectman.

      In the records of the church in Halifax on 16 October 1734, David Bosworth, his second wife Patience, son Jonathan, and Jonathan's wife Ruth, all signed the covenant. He was chosen clerk for the church on 9 April 1735 and was chosen a Deacon 3 November of that same year.
