John Kaye, Esq., of Woodsome, co. York, is the son and heir of Arthur Kaye, Esq., of Woodsome, by Beatrice, daughter of Matthew Wentworth, Esq., of Bretton, Co., York. They had nine sons and three daughters.

John married Dorothy MAULEVERER on 21 Jan 1542/3 in Bardsay. Dorothy (daughter of Robert MAULEVERER and Alice MARKENFIELD) was born about 1528. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
