Adam Claypoole, Esq., of Northborough, co. Northampton, is the second son of James Claypoole, of Northborough. He was baptised there on 20 June 1565, and succeeded his elder brother,John Calypoole, Knt., in possession of Northborough manor about 1615. Adam and Dorothy had eight sons and two daughters.

Adam married Dorothy WINGFIELD on 30 Sep 1586 in St. George's Stamford, co. Lincoln. Dorothy (daughter of Robert 'the younger' WINGFIELD, Esq. and Elizabeth CECIL) was buried on 7 Nov 1619 in Northborough. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
