Burton Evans, sixth child of Almira and Edward Beamer, was born in Lee County, Illinois. He attended the public school and graduated from the Aurora High School in 1900.

He graduated from the Armour Institute of Technology in 1905 with the degree of B. S. in Electrical Engineering.

He married Jessie Maude Gates, of Winona, Minnesota, September 25th, 1907. They have one child, Burton Gates, born August 10th, 1909.

Burton is at present located at Anaconda, Montana, as assistant electrical engineer for Washoe Smelter of the Anaconda Copper Mining Company. His address is Box 715, Anaconda, Montana.

Burton married Jessie Maude GATES on 25 Sep 1907 in Winona County, Minnesota. Jessie (daughter of Albert L. GATES and Agnes Ada FARNSWORTH) was born on 24 Jan 1881 in Russell Co., Kansas; died on 21 Apr 1967 in Oakland, Alameda Co., California; was buried in East Lawn Memorial Park, Sacramento, Sacramento Co., California.
