Pauline T. (Brockman) Rider, 106, of Carlisle Township, died on July 19, 2011, at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. She was born in Shanesville on Aug. 1, 1904. She married John H. Rider on June 28, 1930. Surviving are a daughter, Janice C. Brooks of Carlisle Township and a son, James Rider (Colleen) of Avon; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1982; a sister, Helen Galloway; brothers, Lawrence and Victor Brockman; and her parents, Lawrence and Mary (Zubricsky) Brockman. Services were Sunday, July 31 at North Eaton Christian Church.
