He became a mariner with several voyages to India and the East Indies as captain of ships belonging to the East India Company.
He was a grantee of the second Charter of Virginia, 23 May 1607. After return from Java in 1619 he resided at Wapping. The will of Rowland Coytemore, of Wapping, Middlesex, dated 5 June 1626 and proved 24 Nov 1626. His widow emigrated to New England about 1636, accompanied by her son Thomas, and followed by her daughter Elizabeth.

1. Thomas COYTEMORE was born about 1611-12 in Prittlewell Essex; died on 27 Dec 1644 in Lost at sea off the coast of Spain.
2. Elizabeth COYTEMORE was born about 1617; died between 1642/3 to 1648/9 in Boston, Massachusetts.

William Wnn Williams, Esq., of Cwchwillan in Llechwedd Uchav, co. Caernarvon, Sheriff of Caernarvonshire, is the son of William Williams, by Lowry, daughter of Henry Salusbury, Esq., of Llanrhaidadr. They had eight sos and three daughters.
