WALLACE W. MC COMBS

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Primitive Baptist Church at Brush Ridge, for Wallace W. McCombs, 84, of southeast of Marion, who died at 11:10 p.m. January 12 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mildred B. Miller, of Marion. He had been a semi-invalid for 5 years and had been in the Miller home for two years. Burial was made in Brush Ridge cemetery.

Born January 1, 1872 in Union County. He was a son of Joseph B. and Cornelia Slawson McCombs. In 1898 he married Francis Ann Boward, who died 14 years ago. He was a retired farmer and earlier in his life had raised and trained horses.

Surviving with the daughter in whose home he died are two other children, Edward L. McCombs, of near Wyandot and Mrs. Daisy W. Ring, of near Prospect; nine grand-children; 19 great grand children and three brothers and a sister, Charles F. McCombs, and Mrs. Pearl Holland, both of Marion; Claude D. McCombs, of near Galion, and Harry B. McCombs, of near Richwood. Four sisters and a brother; preceded him in death.
