He was a man of high character and noble qualities, and called to many places of trust. he inherited from his father under the old English law, but divided the estate with his brother.

1. Mary OLNEY was born on 30 Sep 1704; died on 18 Mar 1756.
2. Jonathan OLNEY was born on 9 Mar 1709; died on 23 Mar 1787.

Name:
He was born in England in 1634, and probably less than a year old when brought to this country. He married Mary, a daughter of John Whipple, March 9, 1666, and died June 3, 1698. Though not as prominent in public matters as his older brother, yet we find him an active member of the little Colony and taking a part in the administration of its affairs, serving as a member of the Colonial Assembly and of the Town Council.
