    His estate was administered by his son, Thomas Church Wilbor, 12 Oct. 1840. His wife applied for a pension for his services in the Revolution on 12 March 1849. He lived on the Long highway on the place where his son Thomas Wilbor was living, according to the map of 1850, and owned in 1890 by Horace Bixby.

  1. 2.  Capt. Aaron WILBOR was born on 24 May 1724 in Little Compton, Rhode Island (son of John WILBORE and Sarah PALMER); died in 1802 in Little Compton, Rhode Island.

    Name:
    "The Wildbores in America": Aaron Wilbor served as Captain in the Revolution and had five sons, all soldiers in the Revolution. Aaron served at or near Boston in 1775 for eight months, in 1776, was in the Battle of Rhode Island and many times guarded the shores of the town He served in the Town Council of Little Compton from 1775 to 1781. He lived on the Long Highway in the eastern part of the town, on the farm owned in 1870, by John Soule and now owned by Adolphus Allen. His will was made Apr. 7, 1802 and proved Nov. 3, 1802. In it he mentions wife Ruth to whom he gives the use of the east part of his dwelling house. To son Benjamin, two dollars; to son Aaron, three silver dollars, wearing apparel except silver buttons and buckles; to son Francis, all his lands in Little Compton; to son Thomas, two silver dollars and case of drawers of black walnut; to son John, two silver dollars; to daughter, Sarah Soul, one silver dollar; to daughter Ruth Palmer, one cow. His first wife Mary Church Wilbor, is buried on the George Bixby place, the farm formerly owned by Aaron.
