    He married (1) ? by whom he probably had Daniel and Samuel. there is no proof which wife was the mother of the early children, but it appears the first two sons were by the first wife and the rest by Elizabeth.

    On 20 Nov. 1657 the town of Portsmouth RI granted 15 acres of land to Daniell Wilcocke to go with the 15 acres previously granted him.

    On 13 2 mo 1660 Daniel Wilcox conveyed land in Portsmouth to john Briggs that had belonged to his father Edward Wilcox.

    On 1 Aug 1661 Daniel Wilcox of Portsmouth conveyed a lot in Portsmouth to Edward Lay, reserving the land where the grave of "my deceased wife" was situated.

    At the 7 Oct. 1676 Portsmouth town meeting Daniel Wilcocks was chosen to be on the grand jury.

    On 3 Oct. 1686 Daniel Wilcock Sr. of Namquid in Little Compton bought a house lot in Little Compton with William Pabodie.

    On 4 Oct. 1689 Daniel Wilcocks of Little Compton granted land in Dartmouth to grandsons William and Jeremiah Wilcocks.

    In Aug. 1693 Daniel Wilcox of Little Compton, yeoman, was convicted of "High Misdemeannors" and fined. He escaped from the sheriff and moved from the Province. Desirous of returning peaceably to his family at Tiverton, who had moved from Little Compton, he petitioned the General Court at Boston to accept in payment his lands at Tiverton. The General Court granted his request and on 27 No. 1701 he gave deed of the land to the Mass. Bay Prov.

    The will of Daniel Wilcox of Tiverton dated 9 June 1702m orived 25 Ayg. 1702, names wife Elizabeth Wilcok; eldest sonne Daniel Willcock and his eldest sons Daniel Willcock; children (not named) of son Samuel deceased; sons Stephen, John,Edward and Thomas Willcock; dau. Mary wife of John Earle; dau. Lidiah; son in law Edward Briggs and Sarah "his wife my daughter"; dau. Susannah Wilcox to have land of her grandfather John Cook. The inventory was dated 16 July 1702 and says he died 2 July 1702.

    On 1 Sept. 1716 John Wilcox, JohnEarle and wife Mary, Thomas Sherman and wife Lydia (by Edward Briggs, attorney), Edward Briggs and wife Sarah, Jonathan Head and wife Susanna, Stephen Wilcox and Edward Wilcox sold lot 19 in Taverton to James Tucker.

    On 24 June 1719 John and Mary Earle of Tiverton, Sarah widow of Edward Briggs of Tiverton, Stephen Wilcox of Dartmouth, Jonathan and Susanna Head, and Lydia Sherman, widow of Kingstown, made good the title to the land their brother Edward Wilcox had sold to Joseph Russell of Dartmouth. Edward had died in May 1718.

    Daniel married Elizabeth COOKE on 28 Nov 1661 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Elizabeth (daughter of John COOKE and Sarah WARREN) was born before 1644 in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts ; died on 06 Dec 1715 in Tiverton, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
