    Excerpt from "Mayflower Families in Progress-George Soule": Sarah probably had a posthumous daughter by John Wheaton, son of John and Elizabeth ? Wheaton. The will of John Wheaton, blacksmith of "Swanzey", made 5 May 1736 and proved 1 Aug. 1737, names his wife Elizabeth and "granddaughter Elizabeth Chase in respect to son John, decd."
    She is names "Sarah Soule" in her 1726 marriage, so it is doubtful that she married John Wheaton.

    Excerpt from "Mayflower Families - George Soule": The will of George Soule of Dartmouth dated 29 March 1697, proved 30 June 1704, bequeaths toeldest son William; sons John and Nathan; daughter Deborah; daughter Mary, Lydia and Sarah when they reach eighteen, wife Deborah and son William, executors; Joseph Tripp and George Cadman, overseers. The widow Deborah Soule repudiated the will on "ye 22 day of ye 4th month 1704/
    His granddaughter Mary Coggeshall, daughter of son George, contested hiw will and was awarded (1719) a share representing her father's rights.
