John married Martha TINKHAM on 08 Dec 1701 in Middleboro, Mas.. Martha (daughter of Ephraim TINKHAM and Esther WRIGHT) was born about 1678; died on 16 Feb 1758 in Middleboro, Mass.; was buried in The Green Cem.. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Excerpt from "Mayflower Families In Progress-George Soule": The will of Martha Soule widow sr. of Middleborough dated 19 Nov. 1751, proved 2 May 1758; bequeaths to sonJohn Souls heirs lawfull money; to son James Soul; the Heirs of daughter Sarah Snow deceased; daughters Easter Soul and Rebecah Soul; one third of moveable estate and the rest to daughters Martha Thompson, Ester Soul, Mary Samson, Rebecca Soul and Rachel Vaughan to be divided equally among them. Ester Soul and Rebecca Soul were named executors. Witnesses were Samuel Tinkham, David Simmons and Nelson Finney.
