Fred Slosson, age 85, of Crown Point, IN, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his home. Fred is survived by his wife, Barbara of 63 years; children: Renee (Kevin) McNair, Craig (Lori) Slosson and Vannessa Slosson; grandchildren: Ashley (Antonio) Campos, Lauren Slosson, Ian McNair and Kaylie Slosson; great grandchild, Brennan Slosson; sister, Marjorie Albaugh. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willis and Lila Slosson and sister, Helen Chuch. Fred was a member of Bethel Church. He was a self-employed CPA for over 50 years in Crown Point and owner of Colonial Nursing Home from 1977-1988. Fred was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, class of 1949. He received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, MBA from the University of Chicago and was an Associate Professor at Indiana University Northwest. Fred proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Crown Point Chamber of Commerce, Crown Point Rotary, Board Member of St. Jude and Southlake Businessmen's Fellowship. He enjoyed jogging, reading and fellowship at Bethel Church. Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E 113th Ave/South St, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Bethel Church, 10202 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Church of Crown Point with Pastor Gary Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Fred's name to Every Child Ministries at Bethel Church in Crown Point. Barbara Slosson, age 89, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Barbara is survived by her children: Renee (Kevin) McNair, Craig (Lori) Slosson, and Vannessa (Glen) Slosson; grandchildren: Ashley (Antonio) Campos, Ian (Paula) McNair, Lauren (Cody) Slosson, and Kaylie (Josh) Flamme; and great-grandchildren: Annalise and Adelaide Campos, Brennan Slosson, and Lily and Emilia Flamme.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Slosson.

Barbara was an avid bowler and an active member of Bethel Church. She was the owner of Colonial Nursing Home for over 10 years. Barbara loved to cook family meals and spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Dewitt officiating. Interment to follow at City of Crown Point Historic Maplewood Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Barbara?s name to Dunes Hospice.
