Mrs. Vian, familiarly known as "Took" was born at Sharon, Wis., twenty-eight years ago.
She was a young woman of pleasing personality, kind and helpful to all.
Born Oct. 12, 1882, married Oct. 26th, 1909, she became a mother Oct. 17th, 1910 and on Oct. 18th, passed to the great beyond, and was buried Oct. 20th.
Besides her young husband she leaves an aged father, two brothers, Charles and John Harrold, and six sisters; Mrs. Ida Boyington of Stevens Point, Wis., Mrs. Hannah Foster of Bellingham, Minn., Mrs. Sarah Ray of Minocqua, Wis., Mrs. R. D. Johnson of Tolley, N. D., Mrs. Milton (should be Millard Johnson spelling) Johnson and Mrs. Harriet Kuzee both of Mohall, N.D. all of whom attended the funeral except Mrs. Foster.
In the casket, beneath a wealth of exquisite flowers, close to the young mother's side rested the infant babe.
A lare concourse of friends gathered at the home to pay their last respects to the deceased listening to a sermon full of spiritual comfort and encouragement, by Rev. Morange of Donnybrook, a quartet of voices, sang several beautiful hymns.
More than fifty carriages followed the remains to Greenbush cemetery, where she was laid beside her mother, who died several years ago.
The shock of her early death is only exceeded by the sympathy of the whole community to the sorrowing relatives and friends.
" I know not where his islands rear
    Their fronded palms in air
I only know we cannot drift
    Beyond Gods love and care."
