    Our beloved Helen Frances Brigham, 96 of Victoria, formerly of Goliad, passed away June 10, 2012. Helen was born October 16, 1915, in Bartlett, Texas, to the late Estel and Grace Bolding.

    Helen was devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and tatting. Her family received many of her beautiful creations. She nurtured houseplants and particularly favored African violets.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Brigham; brothers Harold, Joe and Larry Bolding and niece Carolyn Marlar.

    A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 11, at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens cemetery in Edna. The family gratefully thanks the ICU and fourth floor nursing staff and respiratory team at DeTar Hospital for their gentle care of Helen.

    Estel Bolding, formerly of Bartlett, passed away at the family residence in Golliad on Oct. 7 after an immediate illness of two months, having been in falling health for a number of years.

    Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Bolding of Bartlett, he was born in 1889 on the farm homestead of his parents in the Ake School House Community southwest of Bartlett, moving to town with his parents about 1903.

    He graduated from the Bartlett High School and was an employee of the T. Denson Lumberyard: a member of the Methodist Church and a social farorite
    among his many friends.

    He married Miss Grace Slawson of Bartlett and remained here several years, later moving with his brother to a ranch near Lampasas, thence to Gollaid where he was manager of a lumber yard until his health failed.

    Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Goliad Methodist church by his pastor and concluded where interment was made.

    Survivors are his wife: one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Barrington of Goliad: three sons, Harold Dean of Corpus Christi, John, of Hamiln, and Joe of Goliad: a grandaughter, Grace Alice Barrington: one sister, Mrs. L. R. Sparks of Lampasas: three brothers, Ed and Frank of Copperas Cove, and Oscar of Lampasas: and a nephew Rosco Bolding of Lampasas all of whom attended the last rites.

    The youngest son, Larry preceded him in death.

    A large crowd of Bartlett friends and relatives attended the burial.

    Out of town people present were Mr. and Mrs. Joe D. Bolding, Mrs. J. D. Slawson, Mr. and Mrs. Luther of Austin: Mrs. Arther Ake of Taylor: Henry Whitlow of Belton: and Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Bolding of Temple.

    Tennie was a daughter of Eliza Cosper Gibbs and Ransom Gibbs, who died during the Civil War. Tennie's mother, grandparents, and numerous other relatives moved to Texas circa 1869-1870 on the Cosper Wagon Train.

    Tennie married John David Slawson and they had three known children: Ray, Woodie, and Grace. Only one child, Grace, lived to adulthood. John David and his young daughter moved to Williamson Co., TX after Tennie's death. John, his second wife, Loucy McDowell, as well as, Grace and her husband, Estel Bolding, are all buried in Bartlett, Williamson Co., TX.
