John Bigod, Knt., of Settrington, co. York, son of Ralph Bigod, Knt. of Settrington, co. York (of Magna Charta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne) by Anne, daughter of John Greysoke, 4th Lord Greystoke (of Magna Charta Surety descent and descendant of Charlemagne).
They had 2 sons. Sir John Bigod was slain, aged under thirty, with his father, at the battle of Towton, on 29 May 1461.
