    Redith "Tuffy" Brockes, age 71, of Iberia, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Dixon Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Iberia on December 21, 1936, a son of the late Golden and Opal (Fancher) Brockes.

    Those who survive him include: three children, Jeff Brockes and wife Kris of Rolla, Tim Brockes of St. Clair and Halona Overby and husband Mike of Iberia; eight grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; twin sister, Edith "Tiny" Duthridge of Ohio and one brother, Roger Brockes of Cook Station.

    Three brothers, Bill, Henry and Dorsey Brockes and two sisters, Beverly Sue Brockes and Ivy Sullivan, also preceded him in death.

    Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery near Crocker.

    Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

    Memorial contributions are suggested to the Tuffy Brockes Memorial Fund.

    Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Iberia Nazarene Church for Golden Henry Brockes, 56, who died at his home Saturday. Mr. Brockes was born March 17, 1903, the son of Samuel and Julia Brockes. He was married to the former Miss Mary Opal Fancher, who survives.

    Other survivors include: four sons, William of Fenton, Redith of Oakdale, Calif., Roger of Stafford, Kan., and Dorsey Lee of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ivy Sullivan of Granite City, Ill., and Mrs. Edith Dutridge of Bradley, Ill.; five sisters, Mrs. Etha Whitaker and Mrs. Ola Zarruchi, both of Mill Valley, Calif., Mrs. Cecil Dickey of Dixon, Mrs. Nellie Gottcelli and Mrs. Ona Greenaup, both of Martizen, Calif.; and 12 granchildren.

    Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. Don Tyler. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.

    Mary Opal Brockes Hull, 79 of Iberia died Sunday, April 15, 1987 at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born June 7, 1907 in Capps to William Malachi and Laura Varner Fancher. On Dec.22, 1923 she was married in Granite City, Ill. to Golden Brockes, who died Oct. 14, 1959.

    Mrs. Hull was a member of the Iberia Church of the Nazarene.

    Surviving her are four sons ...; two daughters ...; two brothers ...; five sisters ...; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
