    Born c.1663 to Nathaniel and Joan Dickens, Mrs. Dodge (nee Darkis/Dorcas Dickens) died in "the 74th year of her age". She was the widow of Tristram Dodge the younger, son and namesake of early Block Island settler Trustrum Dodge Sr., paterfamilias of the Dodge Family. Her husband had predeceased her three years earlier. The inscription on Mrs. Dodge's slate headstone (see below) identifies her as "Darkis", "ye widow of Trustrum Dodge".


    Dorcas married Tristram DODGE on 7 Jan 1680. Tristram (son of Tristram DODGE, Sr. and Ann MANSFIELD) was born in 1647 in England; died on 18 Aug 1733; was buried in Island Cemetery, New Shoreham, Washington Co., Rhode Island. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
