Flora Jane O'Connor, 78, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Chambersburg, OH, on June 22, 1926, attended Alliance Public Schools and lived in Alliance most of her life.
Mrs. O'Connor was a dietary manager for 20 years at Bel Air Nursing Home and retired from Sun Valley Nursing Home with seven years of service.
Flora Jane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald S. O'Connor whom she married on December 19, 1942; her children and their spouses, Thomas (Betty J.) O'Connor of Alliance, Michael (Michele) O'Connor of Mineral City, OH, and Cathy (Edward) Gallatin of Akron; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence S. and Hazel M. (McBride) Reed; her son, Kenneth O'Connor; and an infant brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Edward Gretchko of St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon as celebrant. There will be no calling hours.
Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
