His obituary in the December 27, 1887 Chronicle of Mt. Vernon says William R. Fuller of Union Avenue was bitten on the hand about a month ago by a Spitz dog kept in his own family. Although the wound had been attended to he was taken ill a few days before and died. The funeral took place at the M. E. Church. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery.

William married Caroline Sherman WESTERFIELD on 15 Jun 1874. Caroline was born on 12 Feb 1858 in Eatontown, Monmouth Co,. New Jersey; died on 11 Jun 1924 in Manchester Green, Hartford Co., Connecticut; was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, Bronx Co., New York. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Levi Jones Fuller was brought up by his uncle, Simeon Jones, a strong Old School Scotch Presbyterian, who made strenuous efforts to have his nephew prepare for the ministry of that denomination, offering to pay all his expenses. He went to Utica, NY where he worked at the jewelers' trade, devoting his spare time to study with a view to the ministry. His health breaking down he went to Troy, where he bound himself out to learn the masons' trade; afterwards moved to Tarrytown, where he became connected with the late George Law in building the Croton Aqueduct. He finally settled in New York City, following the mason and contracting business, in which he met with success in his early years.

Levi married Mary C. COTTON on 18 Nov 1839. Mary was born in abt. 1820 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut, USA; died on 3 Dec 1904 in New York, New York Co., New York; was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, Bronx Co., New York. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
