  1. 1.  Capt John STONE was born on 15 May 1763 (son of Col. Jesse STONE and Elizabeth LIVERMORE); died on 20 Feb 1849.

    Notes:

    Name:
    He enlisted in September, 1779, for six weeks, as a private in rank, under Colonel Decker. He enlisted in May, 1779, for two weeks as a private under Captain Harvey and Colonel Rand, and he enlisted in July, 1780, for three months as a private under Captain L. Parker and Colonel Rand. At enlistment he resided at Ward, massachusetts and he applied for a pension, August 20, 1832, when he lived at Worthington, Massachusetts.

    John married Nancy RICE in 1785. Nancy (daughter of Comfort RICE and Martha MORRIS) was born on 29 Oct 1762; died on 6 Feb 1849. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  1. 2.  Col. Jesse STONE was born on 28 Sep 1737 (son of Hezekiah STONE and Ruth HOWE); died on 26 Jul 1803.

    Notes:

    Name:
    He settled in framingham, and went to Oxford before 1763, where he lived on Prospect Hill, now Auburn. He was a captain in the revolution and marched on Bennington alarm in 1777; he was in service from July 19 to August 29, 1777. There were no Oxford men in the ranks. The Oxford records give Jesse Stone, fifth son of Hezekiah, as colonel in the revolution.

    Jesse married Elizabeth LIVERMORE. Elizabeth was born on 7 Jan 1734/35; died on 15 Apr 1814. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
