  1. 1.  Thomas WILBORE was born about 1482 in Royston in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England; died between 20 Jan and 22 June 1564.

    "The Wildbores in America': According to the court rolls of Colchester of 30 Sept. 1549, Thomas Wilbore, born at Ruston (Royston), Yorkshire, tailor, was made justice of the peace. On 6 Sept. 1555 there were bailiffs elected for the common council. On the head ward was Thomas Wilbore, William Simpson, John Jankyn, and John Dethick. On this date Richard Wilbore was admitted a burgess, born in Notton in co. York, sherman or shereman, the sureties being Thomas Wilbore and richard Whale.

    On 30 Sept. 1562 Thomas Wilbore and his wife, Alice, made a deed, and for the consideration of L26 13s and 4d paid to them by William Ram of St. Peters parish in Colchester, and sold and confirmed to "said Wm Ram all that tenement with garden adjoining, formerly of John Holmes and afterwards of Thos Lawrence and later of James Cole and Ellen his wife, situate in Holy Trinity parish, beyond Le shire gate between the lot called Berishane on the north side, and the highway leading towards a certain grene called St. John's Grene on the south side which tenement and garden I had myself from Henry Asshely, late ofColchester, shereman and Joan his wife as can more fully be seen by deed of Jany 7, 155. To have and to hold by William Ram and marion his wife, dated Sept. 30, 1562."

    Further fro the Colchester court Rolls, 20 Jan. 1562. "Thomas Wylbore in court against Thomas Vincent for treaspass. 4 d." 22 June 1564. "Alice Wilbore, widow, and adm. of the goods and chattels of Thomas Wilbore, Deceased v George Wright for debt 11s and 4 d."
