SILVER CREEK MAN DIED IN BUFFALO

Silver Cree, March 26--Loren Smith, well known resident of Silver Creek and salesman for Gibson Motor Company in Buffalo, died suddenly there Tuesday.

Mr. Smith was born in Silver Creek 55 years ago, son of the late Daniel C. and Margaret McAndrew Smith. He attended school here and operated a farm, his present home, on Hanover road for several years before going to Buffalo to work. He was a member of Forestville Masonic lodge of which he was past master, and also served as worthy patron of Silver chapter, O.E.s.

Mr. Smith leaves his wife, Celia Slawson Smith; two sons, Donald of Buffalo and David of Silver Creek; two daughter, Lorraine of Williamsville and Barbara of Lockport; two brothers, Ernest and Raymond of Silver Creek; a sister, Miss Margaret Smith of Silver Creek.

CELIA SMITH

Mrs. Celia Smith, formerly of Silver Creek, passed away at the General hospital, Santa Barbara Cal., on Nov. 7, after months of extreme suffering. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Slawson, deceased. She was united in marriage to Loren J. Smith Aug. 29, 1908. She leaves to mourn her passing a brother, William Slawson, and four children, Donald of Buffalo; Loraine of Garden City; Mrs. Barbara Ferris of Santa Barbara; David of Cassadaga, and five grandchildren. She will be missed by a host of friends, both here and the west, where she has enjoyed her church and the beauties of California for about two years, previous to her last sickness.
Interment was in one of god's beauty spots, facing the blue deep ocean dotted with beautiful oak trees and the mountains as a background.
