    Name:
    Jedediah Dewey married Sarah Orton, of Farmington, Connecticut, where they lived for a short time after their marriage, when he removed to Westfield, Mass., where he was a farmer, and where he d. Jan. 26, 1727/8. he was, like his father and brother Thomas, a cornet of town troop. The love of music seems to have run in the family at an early date.
