Nathaniel TALMAGE

Notes:

Excerpt from "The Talmadge, Tallmadge and Talmage Genealogy": he was the oldest living son of Thomas, the first recorder of Easthampton, when that man made his will in 1687. He was born at Southampton, Long Island, 1643, removed when a boy with his father, who was one of the founders, to Easthampton, where he spent the rest of his life. In the early town records, the only records now extant, as the church rcords were lost by fire, Nathaniel T. Tallmage is a recorded witness 1668, Sept 27, Nathaniel Talmage sold a house 1676, Jun 28, and owned land south of Ben Conkling at Wainscott about 1678.
In 1687 Nathaniel was elected one of the two Constables. He was also a trustee of the town in 1689, 1692, 1701, 1703, and 1705.

Nathaniel married Rebecca OSBORN about 1677. Rebecca was born in 1658; died on 15 Apr 1743. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
