From "History of Winnebago County, Wisconsin": S.D. Paddleford came to this town in January, 1849, and in March, the same year, entered the southeast quarer of Section 10, where he now resides. Mr. Paddleford is one of the prominent men of the town, and has taken an active part in its improvement from the days of its early settlement. He is the present assessor.
