Mr. Henry T. Hoyt of this city, died yesterday morning at four o'clock at his cottage at Cape May. Mr. Hoyt was of the firm of Hoyt & Gleason, merchant tailors, Chestnut street, above Fifteenth, and was formerly the junior partner in the well-known house of F.A. Hoyt & Brother. He had removed to his seaside residence early in the season in the hope of recovering his health, as he was suffering from an affection of the kidneys, complicated with other disorders. The change, however, failed to afford him the desired relief. The immediate cause of death was dropsy. The deceased was fifty-six years of age.
